Nokia N96 was publicly announced at Mobile World Congress February 11-14, 2008 in Barcelona, and started selling in September 2008. Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific are the first locations to provide the handset for consumers. The American and Chinese versions are expected shortly thereafter. October 1st is set as the U.K. release date for the N96, although London has a separate date of September 24th when the device will go on sale exclusively at Nokia's flagship. N96 are available in prepaid phone plan at crazyjohns.
Being a successor of the Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N96 has some king-size spec sheet to top and it can't be accused of not trying. There's FP2, double the built-in storage and DVB-H. The bloodline is strong but the crown is heavy and ancestral sins will be held against the heir twofold. Let's see if it has got the performance to walk in them shoes size N95.
